It’s about time. Brought to you from the folks behind Webster’s Wine Bar, a comparable spot for beer and wine lovers.
Bluebird is host to over 100 beers from around the world including unique varieties of Irish stout, British blond, Belgium Lambic, Italian amber, Canadian red, Japanese brown, Swiss golden, French cider, and dozens of small-batch American microbrews. A chalkboard scrawled with daily drink specials hangs over the bar, which also offers wines by the glass or bottle, as well as an extensive collection of spirits, whiskey in particular. Bluebird’s rustic interior of reclaimed oak, exposed brick, and salvaged lighting enhances the subtle elegance of enjoying handcrafted brews and food to match. The bold and flavorful menu features small plates of cured meats and cheeses, larger dishes of locally made German-style sausages, ale-simmered mussels, decadent flatbreads, and a free-range Cook's Ranch Bison burger with bacon and four-year-aged Cheddar. Located in Bucktown and a favorite of locals and industry employees alike, Bluebird is a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of Chicago life.
