Flavorful meats and a festive atmosphere make this Argentinean restaurant a carnivorous treat. Boasting a traditional Argentinean menu with plenty of grilled (parrilla) meats and parilladas—meats that are grilled tableside—Tango Sur fills with a glorious, wafting aroma that welcomes diners when they enter. For those unfamiliar with Argentinean cuisine, preparation focuses more on the marinade than the cut; skirt steaks are crisp, savory, and plentiful, as are the large filet mignons or sirloin cuts. There are also many options for non meat-eaters. With a BYOB policy, prices are kept surprisingly moderate. Due to the fantastic food and local popularity, it’s best to arrive early, or expect to wait, for this candlelit storefront café is always bustling with diners. During summer, opt for dining on the restaurant's airy, streetside patio area—perfect for toasting to warm nights, chilled wine, and fine food.
